Freshman CTE Tours allow students to preview different classes

The freshman CTE tours are a way for freshmen to take a look at what CTE classes are available next year and what they do in the classes.

The CTE classes consist of Building and Electrical, Culinary, Automotive, Child Care, Business and Health Care. Each class teaches important skills including, cooking, teaching, taking care of the sick and injured and how to fix cars. Taking a CTE class is for three periods, and students who take a CTE class will not take a social studies class.

“We do the tour in order to encourage ninth graders to check it out and besides Most ninth graders don’t even know there is a CTE program so it’s a great opportunity,” Health Care CTE teacher Ms. Coyle said.
