Spanish students view ‘La Gringa’ in New York City
AP Spanish and Spanish 4 students visited the Repertorio Español in New York City. They watched a play called “La Gringa,” which was about an American born young woman traveling to Puerto Rico for the first time to meet her family and discover her roots. Although there are better work opportunities in the United States, she ultimately decides to stay in Puerto Rico because the culture captivated her. The play lasted an hour and 21 minutes in total without any intermissions.
