Building CTE students finish senior projects

The Building Career Technical Education students started their senior projects in November, 2022. So far, two seniors have completed their projects: Timothy Cortez and Ryan Wenzel.

Cortez and Wenzel chose to create a catapult for their project. The catapult took approximately two months to build.

“This project required them to push their skills by learning to timber frame, and they had to solve many issues in order to engineer the frame,” CTE teacher Mr. Keith Fitzpatrick said.

Throughout this project Cortez and Wenzel learned the specifics about how the trebuchet [catapult] is properly built.
