English teachers from both the high school and middle school took a trip to the Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn, New Jersey, to see a musical adaptation of the book “The Great Gatsby” by F. Scott Fitzgerald.
Reading teacher Mrs. Alison Newman organized the trip, and the group went to see the musical on Nov. 2. The other teachers who accompanied her were Mrs. Chelsea Shatt, Mr. Evan Bates, Mr. Bryan Pol, Mrs. Leslie Lordi, Ms. Arielle Wilkes, Mrs. Erica Muttee, Mrs. Jacqueline Weston, Mrs. Cindy Bachmann, Mr. David Torres, Ms. Sarah Fitzkee, Mrs. Kathleen Farley and Mrs. Jill Farr-Bodnar.
“It was nice to bond with other teachers outside of school. We rarely ever do that,” Mrs. Newman said.
The musical was shown from Oct. 12 to Nov. 12 and starred Jeremy Jordan, Eva Noblezada and Noah J. Ricketts.
The teachers aim to make this a yearly tradition, all having enjoyed their time together outside of school.
