On Dec. 2, the National Art Honors Society (NAHS) held an afternoon at the high school for children to participate in holiday-themed arts and crafts.
The event was called the “Holiday Crafternoon” and was for children of DV teachers and staff in kindergarten through fifth grade. Kids got to make holiday ornaments, cards, gift bags and other crafts. They were assisted by NAHS adviser Dr. Irene Lantz, art teachers Mrs. Tricia Kaylor, Mrs. Krystine Thompson and members of the club.
For the event, Mrs. Thompson brought plain cookies for the kids to decorate with sprinkles and icing. They had snacks and hot chocolate while watching “The Grinch.”
