Every year the music department holds concerts for orchestra, chorus, band and jazz band at the end of the year. Each ensemble has been preparing since the beginning of the second semester. The bands will play music from popular TV shows and movies.
Each concert will consist of six or more pieces, compared to the usual three to four pieces done during other concerts during the year, with students being given the opportunity to perform a solo throughout a concert.
“I’m excited to see how far they can take this music,” band director Mr. Rick Bullock said.
The orchestra concert was held on May 20, The chorus concert was held on May 22, and both the band and jazz band concerts will be held May 31.
