The infamous Met Gala took place on Monday, May 5. Every year, the Met Gala is held to raise money for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. It also serves as the official opening of the Costume Institute’s annual fashion exhibition.
As a now red-carpet event, it is known for its differing themes. This year’s theme was “Tailored for You,” which is a celebration of Black dandyism and the influence of fashion on Black identities.
