This Day in History: Arnold Schwarzenegger becomes governor of California


On this day, 2003, Arnold Schwarzenegger became California’s 38th governor, and stayed in office until Jan. 3, 2011. He has a renowned career as an actor, having been in hit movies such as The Terminator and Kindergarten Cop. Prior to acting, he became the youngest man to hold the title of Mr. Universe at 20 years old.
