Students submit to National Public Radio’s Student Podcast Challenge
Youth-led podcasting has been brought to the high school recently through the Podcast Club, and students have been working on podcasts with new equipment.
Freshmen Paige Kurtz and Brandon Albaugh submitted their podcast to NPR’s Student Podcast Challenge. Their podcast was about the LGBTQ community and included an interview with Dr. Catherine Thayer and her son.
They are currently waiting for the results of the competition, and they can potentially win $5,000. Miss Shannon McCabe is also looking for more students to join Podcast Club and possibly enter these types of competitions.
