On Sept. 15, Delaware Valley FBLA officers participated in the school’s club fair to promote their chapter to prospective students.
The club fair is a yearly event at Delaware Valley to get students more involved in the school community and take advantage of the opportunities the school offers. Students go during their lunches to find clubs that interest them, and FBLA is a staple part of the annual fair.
Chapter officers drew potential members in with candy and various chapter awards on display. Officers also handed out papers containing information about competitive events, different requirements for being a member and the avenues that open as a result of being a part of the organization.
“I hope we have impacted more students to join FBLA, realize how incredible it is and all the opportunities it has to offer because it has done so much for me personally,” chapter secretary Queenie Yang said.
In addition to handing out papers and showing off awards, officers told students passing through about their personal favorite aspects of the organization, including community service and different fundraisers. According to Yang, conferences especially piqued the interest of those at the fair.
“Having a presence at the club fair is important because it helps us connect with potential members and spread awareness about our club,” chapter vice president at large Vidhi Patel said. “Our hope is to attract enthusiastic members who will contribute to our club’s success throughout the year.”
