The Warriors lost to the Imhotep Panthers in the second round of states 31-7 on Nov. 25. The Warriors winning streak was cut short after 10 games. The last time the Warriors made it to the second round of states was three years ago when they played Central York.
Senior Justin Kalitsnik’s fumble led to the only touchdown of the game scored by senior Kyle Chabak.
Head coach Keith Olsommer credited senior Aiden Black for his hard work defensively throughout the game.
“Aiden is an exceptional athlete for us, when we played the toughest team this season, he played his best,” coach Olsommer said.
On the other side of the ball, coach Olsommer said that Kalitsnik and junior Logan Olsommer provided hope for the Warriors’ offense.
“I think that the team worked hard all season, not just going into the state games. I think that the focus was different on different weeks,” coach Olsommer said.
Looking into the next season, coach Olsommer explains that it will be a challenge to replace the graduating seniors since they are the best at their position.
