On November 15th, DV FBLA partnered with DVHS Business & Marketing CTE students to teach Career Leadership students at DVMS about the American Enterprise system in celebration of American Enterprise Day. Students learned about creating a marketing mix and essential values of entrepreneurship.
November 15th marks American Enterprise Day in the United States, recognizing the American economic system and the business leaders that comprise it. Signed into law by President Jimmy Carter in 1980, American Enterprise Day is celebrated annually on November 15th by community business leaders and business-focused student-organizations, like Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA).
The DVHS chapter of FBLA decided to celebrate this year’s American Enterprise Day by working with the DVHS Business & Marketing CTE classes to teach middle school students about marketing. Students were treated to a lively and interactive presentation by students from both organizations. CTE students brought in products from the DV School Store for students to create their own strategy on marketing products. These students gained valuable knowledge about entrepreneurship and were introduced to the high school CTE program, an exciting avenue for those interested in pursuing a career in business.
