Jimmy’s Lakeside Pizza is a little pizza place that many people don’t even know is there, which is a shame because they have great food and a gorgeous view of the lake. The view of the lake makes the dining experience even more special.  

My family normally orders pizza from Jimmy’s, but this time we wanted to try dining in instead of just picking up our pizza and leaving. 

When we walked in, we noticed it was a slow night except for the people picking up to-go orders. This didn’t affect the service though because as soon as we ordered, we got our appetizers.  

We ordered coconut shrimp and mozzarella sticks for appetizers. My brother got two slices of pepperoni pizza, and my mom and I split a ham and cheese calzone. The coconut shrimp were surprisingly good. They were crispy and served with a Thai chili sauce. The portion size of seven shrimp was generous for $10.99.

They gave us six mozzarella sticks, and they had a good cheese pull and were crispy as well. 

My brother enjoyed his pizza, and he said it was crispy and the sauce was sweet. 

The ham and cheese calzone that I split with my mom was a good size for only $10.75. Besides mozzarella cheese, it also had ricotta cheese in it. The size of the calzone is perfect for splitting.

They told us when we got there that the calzone would take 30 minutes, and it came out right on time.

Whether you are eating inside or outside, you can see the lake shimmer and sometimes see a pretty sunset as you’re eating.  

Besides pizza and calzones, Jimmy’s also offers hot sandwiches, salads, wraps, wings and more. 

They offer a gluten free option for pizza crust on any 10” personal pizza including their specialty pies. 

The bill came out to $47.75, which we felt was an appropriate price for how much we ordered.
