Combo program competes for top service learning hours

On Sept. 13, Combo 9, 10 and 11 kicked off their National Day of Service competition. The competition was for the New York Says Thank You campaign who help to brighten the country with the new generation of children. The Combo classes put in a total of 564 service hours within their deadline date of Oct. 13. Freshman averaged eight hours per person, Sophomores averaged about eight hours per person and Juniors winners averaged 11 hours per person. Individuals worked at Warrior Fest, babysat, and helped manage a sports team. As well as other volunteer options.
