On April 2, a team consisting of seniors Victoria Corcoran, Lily Williams, Gabbi Courtright and junior Ella Sarte competed in the 21st annual Women In Science Competition.

The competition was held at Bedford High School in Bedford, Massachusetts. Delaware Valley was the only out of state school to compete.

The team competed in four different events that tested their knowledge of physics, chemistry, biology and earth science.

The team placed first in the “Anything Goes” event, an event in which teams are asked random questions regarding science. The girls placed 12th out of 33 schools.

“This competition is a great experience that allows our students to enhance their collaboration and communication skills, as well as develop their critical thinking and problem solving abilities. They represented DV well,” Ms. Jessica Hubal trip adviser said.
