On Aug. 16, 17 and 18, The Milford Theater hosted the Readers and Writers Festival to help bring art to the community and bring readers and writers together.
“Through collaboration, the board works the entire year. We talk about the topic, the authors, the moderators, our connections and who the audience would love to hear,” said Carol McManus, co-chairperson of the festival.

     The festival had two occasions, one at St Patrick Parish Hall and the other at The Milford Theater. At the theater, authors and publishers held lectures talking about stories and their life experiences.
At St Patrick Parish Hall there were tables filled with books where people could look around, buy books or get their books signed.
“It was pretty cool overall,” said junior Jessie Dijan. “All of the readers were so excited to meet the authors.”
