More than 60 colleges, employers and organizations showcased for high school students who attended the Viewmont Mall in Dickson City on Oct. 12 for the Northeast PA Area Healthcare Education Conference (AHEC).
Students were able to meet at each college and organization set up separately where they were also able to get merchandise and extra information about their programs. Each college explained their programs and displayed some facilities that are at their school.
The National Guard made an appearance to demonstrate how to properly insert an IV.
“It was an absolutely worthwhile trip for our students to see what’s out there in terms of employers, colleges and organizations who are offering to future health providers,” healthcare CTE teacher Mrs. Barbara Coyle said.
