The DV FBLA officer team traveled to Kalahari Resort to attend the annual State Leadership Workshop 11/2 to 11/3. A precursor to the State Leadership Conference in April, the workshop allows select members from different chapters around the state to learn valuable skills to share with their own chapters.
“It is truly a great opportunity for the officer team,” senior FBLA president Ava Troup said. “They are able to learn many tips about their competitive events and a lot of great leadership skills.”
At the workshop, attendees are given the opportunity to attend a variety of seminars and workshops with different presenters and speakers. As well as learning leadership skills, they are also invited to participate in fundraising events such as a basket auction that raises money for Feeding PA, PA FBLA’s current state project. And of course, members are able to attend the waterpark during their stay at the resort.
The State Leadership Workshop continues to serve as an opportunity to have members bridge the gap between districts and regions, and connect PA FBLA as a whole.
“We are able to meet members from all across the state and make strong connections,” Troup said.
